Axial Filter Systems is an innovative, socially responsible environmental solutions organisation dedicated to providing sustainable cost effective water filtration solutions to the manufacturing, service industries in both public and private organisations. Axial Filter Systems was established by Tim Lacone in 2001. Since then, driven by a strong commitment to develop innovative water efficiency filtration systems, Axial has developed and refined a variety of innovative water filtration systems using systems thinking to deliver water efficiency improvements in a range of markets, including aquaculture, manufacturing, mining, waste water and agriculture. Forming part of these systems is the innovative Axial Filter. This dynamic and innovative filter specialises in providing ultra low flow resistance water filtration for both pressure and suction side applications. Tim's invention is a modular filter which is easily manifolded to suit flow rates and application. Additionally, Tim's unique suction side water filtration system suits both industrial and irrigation applications.

In 2007 Nick Fergus joined Tim Lacone at Axial Filters Systems to become the new Managing Director. Nick has an extensive background in fluid power consultation and project management, specialising in the heavy manufacturing and mining industries. Nick spent 14 years with The BF Group consulting to BlueScope Steel Limited and was instrumental in the development and success of The BF Group's pump division. Nick is trade and tertiary qualified in mechanical engineering, has undergraduate and post graduate qualifications in business management and is near completion of his Masters degree, specialising in project management. Nick brings industry experience and innovative drive to Axial Filter Systems which is complimented by a strong network of strategic alliances and colleagues from both the educational and industry sector.
